David Ashforth

David Ashforth was Racing Writer of the Year in both 1996 and 2008. He has recently retired as a senior writer and columnist at the Racing Post. He entered journalism after pursuing an academic career (he has a Cambridge doctorate) and has written books and articles on racing, social history and education.
