Michael Howard

Michael Howard is one of the leading politicians of his generation. He was Tory Leader of the Opposition from November 2003 to December 2005. His previous roles were, successively, as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Shadow Foreign Secretary, Home Secretary, Secretary of the State for the Environment, and Secretary of State for Employment. He is a QC and was Chairman of the Bow Group and President of the Cambridge Union. He will retire from Parliament, where he has represented Folkestone and Hythe since 1983, at the next Election.
